A6 Ginza Farm.

Tokyo study abroad studio

This semester turned out to be very unique in that I was given the opportunity to
Study Abroad in Tokyo, Japan. The majority of the semester was spent experiencing what it meant to be a foreign architect in another country and how design and data might change. A lot was invested into the research of the project in order to discover the building's potential in the new site and country. The Project takes a look at the site as well as the local districts in order to first discover what program might work best within the site location. After settling on a Wagyu vertical farm, the project took a course of turning this productive building into one for the public as well and how green space and interaction with the animals could turn the dead area of the site back around. This investigation led to new design issues and helped kick off our project architecturally.
